Does the promise of healing ships etc. keep us from using healing power that we already possess, or could request from the divine, if our belief is strong enough?

This as well, fits within the scope of the prior discussion. Anything that disempowers human serves the darkness. And this includes the individuals who are well meaning and wanting to uplift and to encourage people to overcome their struggles by the route of self-help and self empowerment, but without bringing any discussion of the divine into the answers. They are in effect serving the darkness to maintain life in a bottle, existing within this vacuum of disconnection. So as far as it goes, the idea of obtaining healing help is a good notion but one must consider the source of such help, and whether it is a viable and honest and meaningful source or a false promise. Each human has healing power within and the ability to extend this to others. Many healers do this routinely. The healing power within does flow from us, but is not amplified greatly by us in many cases, unless this is also the intention of the healer. If they wish to do it on their own they may do less effective work than if they partner with us. This is only a matter of making a simple request. And so yet again all can make choices. If you wait for external assistance that is ill-defined and a passive activity, you will be waiting a very long time because all such promises are false promises. If you choose to partner with us you can do that immediately, and that is not to say the benefits will arrive immediately, but will begin a process of change that will play out into a glorious future. So there is truly no reason not to do this. There is no penalty, there is no cost, it takes very little time to set an intention to allow in divine love, and there are no risks or downside. So this is a personal alignment you can choose to make, and is no one else's business. And it will help you to get on track and to stay on track. That is not to say there is not work to do. All people alive today have karmic burdens, and unhealed backlog of issues that need to be reworked, repurposed, rebalanced and in some cases repaid as a karmic debt of considerable size. All is possible, particularly with divine help and support bringing in love, bringing in encouragement, bringing in wisdom, and intuitive awarenesses to help people move forward and make better choices, all of which accomplishes the goal of rejuvenating the self and getting back on track with maximum efficiency.
