An Australian mother shared that her five-year-old son broke his arm trying to “fly” off the top of his brother’s cot. The mother scooped him up to cuddle and asked him, “What’s wrong?” He replied, “Mum, when am I going to get my wings back?” When she told him that as a human he wouldn’t have wings, but could fly kites and planes, and so on, he burst into tears and wailed, “I want them right now!” After a good cry, he suddenly stopped and said, “That’s okay, Mum, I remember God told me I could have them when I returned after this assignment.” The fact the boy used the word “assignment” to describe his life is remarkable. What can Creator tell us about the reality behind what this boy revealed?
