Scores of people have died in multiple, massive, high-wind-blown fires spreading over the island of Maui, which has suffered a recent drought. The governor called the damage in the tourist center of Lahaina “shocking” and “like a bomb went off.” While the official cause of the fires is unknown, other than that the high winds were coming from Hurricane Dora, 500 miles to the south, many are blaming the catastrophe on climate change as the cause, just like the wildfires in California and elsewhere around the world. A news report today said: “Under the Department of Energy’s (DOE) regulations, manufacturers and retailers will be prohibited from selling incandescent and similar halogen light bulbs which represent a sizable share of current light bulb supplies. Instead, manufacturers and retailers must sell light-emitting diode, or LED, alternatives or risk substantial federal penalties.” Although done for energy-saving reasons, is there a sinister agenda behind this?

With the divorce rate above 50%, along with the huge number of births happening out of wedlock, it’s reaching the point where more children are being raised by single mothers than are being raised by married cohabiting biological parents. Overwhelmingly, most single men, and more often than that, the more desirable single men, want nothing to do with a single mother.
