As a toddler, they lack the truly rational and analytical reasoning power of adults. You can’t negotiate with them and discuss anything of an abstract nature with them. They are more like memory recognition, reaction, and reporting machines, in a very similar fashion we see manifested with deep subconscious channeling. The channeled deep subconscious will answer questions in a detailed fashion and will follow instructions in a very literal sense. In a similar way, a child with vivid past life memories can answer questions and describe events in a kind of factual and literal “this is what happened” description, but will not be able to provide anything in the way of analysis. So is a child with, as Stevenson describes it, “an attack of adulthood,” akin to the deep subconscious on full display? Can this also perhaps explain why the memories are usually lost by age six?
