This past week, wildfires have spread to over one million acres in Texas, destroying hundreds of homes and other buildings and killing thousands of livestock animals. While dry, warm, winter weather and blustery winds are a terrible combination as seasonal risk factors, is that carnage truly natural or something more sinister?

A news report states: “A study by researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital reveals that the incidence of early onset cancers—including breast, colon, esophagus, kidney, liver, and pancreas—has dramatically increased around the world, with the rise beginning around 1990. In an effort to understand why many more people under 50 are being diagnosed with cancer, scientists conducted extensive analyses of available data, including information on early life exposures that might have contributed to the trend. Results are published in Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology. They observed something called the birth cohort effect. This effect shows that each successive group of people born at a later time—e.g., a decade later—have a higher risk of developing cancer later in life, likely due to risk factors they were exposed to at a young age.” Has this steady increase in cancer among people born in each passing decade been caused by exposing these generations to cancer-causing viruses more systematically, or is there another explanation?

A practitioner asks: “I finally purchased a Catholic Bible and I’m doing a biweekly study with a group at our church, and since I’ve never had this version, which has a couple of extra books, I started reading the book of Tobit. In chapters 6-11 there’s a story that’s eerily similar to the one Karl mentioned in the weekend webinar about the woman and her husband who had that issue of her husbands always dying young until it was resolved via the LHP and DSMR. In the book of Tobit, a demon called Asmodeus had previously killed all seven of the different men betrothed in marriage to Sarah the night of the wedding before any of them had a chance to be with her. Sarah wanted to die but Tobias, the son of Tobit, encountered Raphael, an angel who was sent to walk with him incognito on a journey and ultimately facilitated the marriage contract between Tobias and Sarah. Raphael and Tobias encountered a large fish that jumped out of the water and Raphael told Tobias to take it, clean it, and save the heart, liver, and gallbladder. Later the heart and liver were used over incense to banish the demon and the gall was used to clear a white film from Tobit’s eyes, which had left him blind for 4 years. What can Creator tell us about this method of banishment of demons and healing?” What is Creator’s perspective?

A news report said: “San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw’s leg gave out at the most devastating of moments. As Greenlaw prepared to run back onto the field for another Niners defensive series with 9:26 left in the second quarter of Sunday’s 25-22 Super Bowl LVIII overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, he injured his left leg. Coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed after the game that Greenlaw tore his Achilles tendon. As often happens with Achilles injuries, Greenlaw’s came without contact and at the most inopportune of times. The Niners had just punted the ball back to the Chiefs before Greenlaw and his defensive teammates were about to go back on the field.” He reportedly had suffered Achilles tendonitis during recent games, but is that really a normal vulnerability, to have the Achilles tendon just give way, “without contact and at the most inopportune of times?” Is there anything sinister about this?
