One conundrum is that eternity itself is never static. Many believe that everything that will ever exist already exists. But is it truer to say that all of eternity is itself “reborn anew” with fresh ideas that alter ALL of eternity—past, present, and future? So the saying, “There is nothing new under the sun,” is in fact not true at all, or is it? What can Creator share on this conundrum?

We may have eternity to “get it right,” but if we’ve learned anything from Creator, it would be the height of foolishness to waste valuable time through complacency, simply because we have been given an eternity to work with. How can we balance in our minds the confidence that we will go on no matter what, while recognizing that urgent action of critical importance is needed? How does the wise person reconcile this dilemma?

Videos by witnesses to a large fireball, presumed to be a meteorite, over Chelyabinsk, Russia, show what looks like a missile colliding with it and breaking it up into smaller fragments, and some have speculated it was an extraterrestrial “save” done to protect the human population. Is there another sinister use of locater chips, to identify human whereabouts and interactions with one another as a means of enforcing tighter control and possible punishments for doing something unacceptable to the state? This would be akin to the Chinese social credit system of monitoring and restrictions imposed for bad behavior, as through forbidding travel, less access to desirable goods, etc.

And does the average person even need to think about this seriously?

The word “sheeple” is bandied about today prodigiously. Most people consider the word an insult. Yet no one thinks rams (male sheep) are pushovers, and more than a few shepherds have been severely injured or even killed by their flock. So this is a baseless notion that sheep are completely passive and defenseless. So when Christ was using the word “sheep” ostensibly in reference to the common people, just what was he attempting to convey?

Many people think sheep are easily led. However, the invention of barbed wire has almost entirely eliminated the need for shepherding and even rendered the sheep dog’s important job to the pages of history. Shepherding sheep is almost certainly more difficult and challenging than modern people think it is. Is there wisdom in thinking that comparing people to sheep two thousand years ago, was a lot less insulting and much more informative than it is today?
