Once is enough to devastate someone and I know for certain that I would never want to harm someone just because I’d fallen out of love with them. In Star Trek, Earth is denoted as “sector zero zero one.” Assume the interlopers leave and stay away long enough for the full ascension to take place, and for argument’s sake let’s say they finally return to “sector zero zero one” in the year 2323, a full three hundred years from now, what will they find upon arriving? Will they find empty space? Or will they find an Earth that is essentially a lifeless “corpse” similar to a human corpse left behind following the death of a person?
