Shortly after President Trump announced he planned to bring American troops home from Syria there was suddenly another chemical weapon attack. There is no logical reason for President Assad to stir up things in this way because he can only gain with US withdrawal. The current agitation by protesters focused on banning ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) seems misguided in view of the fact the separation of children from their parents at the border they complain about has been halted and was actually done by Border Patrol Agents, whereas ICE is responsible for the deportation of immigrants arrested for subsequent criminal conduct such as drug dealing or gang activity. Are these protests a spontaneous humanitarian outreach or something sinister?

Many news stories are circulating about the National School Board Association’s appeal to the Dept. of Justice to use the Patriot Act to have the FBI investigate parents as domestic terrorists for threatening school board members for promoting things like gender fluidity and Critical Race Theory. We understand defining “threats” can be highly subjective. Are parents justified in their unhappiness, if not outrage?
