He does not particularly like to be picked up, which I sometimes want to do in the house, and he has always been pretty much fearless, but recently while we are walking outside sometimes he comes up and wants me to pick him up and carry him. He weighs about 45 lb and this is kind of strange. I indulge him and then after a minute or two, he’s ready to go again. I thought at first he was afraid of a friend’s dog that he has always loved suddenly, but that’s not true either. He did this last night while we were walking alone.
