He is unsterilized and we met with the veterinary surgeon to discuss options ranging from vasectomy for him, to full spay for her, to my preference, which would be ovary sparing hysterectomy. I ran across a popular alternative veterinarian who points to research that shows there are issues with cancer, and so forth, in females whose gonads are entirely removed. She says, like us, that dogs need the endocrine hormone system in order to function properly. The surgeon, is able to do these other options, but has seen issues with pyometra and mammary tumors (50% malignant) in female dogs that have had ovary-sparing spay (OSS).” What can we tell him?ClosedNicola asked 2 weeks ago • Animal Issues25 views0 answers0 votesHow likely is it that companion animals will become infected with one of the viruses causing chronic diseases like cancer in humans?ClosedNicola asked 2 weeks ago • Animal Issues31 views0 answers0 votesIs it a good idea to put companion animals on our recommended Antiviral Regimen, or at least one of its components, like the Cannabitol 5000 ECS? If so, how can people balance cost and effectiveness given the uncertainties of whether their pets will even be exposed to viruses of the types infecting humans?ClosedNicola asked 2 weeks ago • Animal Issues18 views0 answers0 votesAre cases of cancer in dogs and other companion animals due to chronic viruses, and if so, in what percent of cases?ClosedNicola asked 1 month ago • Animal Issues63 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “Would it be better for my longer coated dogs (I have border collies) to be shaved in the summer? I think they would not like it and some say that it can be kind of like an insulation layer that helps insulate from heat. My unshorn adult dog seems quite comfortable in winter and summer, and same with my last one.” What can Creator tell us?ClosedNicola asked 3 months ago • Animal Issues63 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “Is it risky for dogs to have salted food?” What can Creator tell us?ClosedNicola asked 3 months ago • Animal Issues73 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “I ordered Cannabitol for myself and also for my dog. He is a large lab that is close to 15 years old and has respiratory, joint, and GI problems as well as lesions on his trunk. I started him on a low dose but after a few days he seemed to have an allergic skin reaction. He was biting and constantly licking his feet and legs. It seems to have reduced in severity after a time since the drug was stopped. Am I correct in thinking this is an allergic reaction?”ClosedNicola asked 3 months ago • Animal Issues77 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “Is raw food, like provided by Canino Raw with fruit and vegetables added along with minerals, better for dogs than the highly rated kibble varieties? It is not that palatable to my dog and I top dress it with roast chicken and things like that.” What is Creator’s perspective?ClosedNicola asked 5 months ago • Animal Issues106 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “How do dogs communicate nonverbally?” What can we tell him?ClosedNicola asked 5 months ago • Animal Issues104 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “Is there a psychic interaction when dogs communicate? Our trainer says that dogs are talking to each other as they look at each other but their lips are not moving!” What can we tell him?ClosedNicola asked 5 months ago • Animal Issues90 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “I do find it very hard to determine whether my dog feels aggressive or not to another one because they are not showing much body language that I can discern, except interest. Then there will be either acceptance or sometimes aggression. It’s very hit and miss and I’m hoping there’s a better way.” What can we tell him?ClosedNicola asked 5 months ago • Animal Issues82 views0 answers0 votesAre there any harmful things added to pet foods by the interlopers?ClosedNicola asked 10 months ago • Animal Issues145 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “Dogs have some of the same problems humans have as they get older, problems such as cognitive issues, heart disease, arthritis, even cancer. I was thinking maybe it’s because of lack of nutrients in the dog food. Is low-quality pet food a significant cause of illness in dogs, cats, and other animals kept as pets by humans?” What is Creator’s perspective?ClosedNicola asked 10 months ago • Animal Issues126 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “My dog is going to be 12 years old and I can tell he’s slowing down a bit, and for some reason, he has become obsessed with human food. He waits until we finish eating dinner and sits and whines for me to clear the table and feed him the leftovers. He also has no interest in the dog food, he eats it as a last resort. He lets it sit for a day and a half until he’s really hungry before he eats it. I’m not feeding him a lot of table food, only when there are leftovers. I realize this is normal behavior for dogs to want good food but, in this case, he seems worse than ever before, and he’s not eating his dog food. Before he would eat his dog food and also beg for table food. Now, it seems like he has a craving ONLY for table food. I have also changed the dog food several times to see if there’s one he likes best but nothing changed, he’s showing the same behavior no matter what brand or flavor. So, I’m thinking that perhaps it’s a deficiency that can’t be fulfilled with the dog food. I’m thinking of switching him to human food or a mix of both human food and dog food. First of all, could I include the Texas Superfood dietary supplement into the food I give the dog? Is this supplement safe for animals like it is for humans?” What is Creator’s perspective?ClosedNicola asked 10 months ago • Animal Issues96 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “Are supplements made for humans safe and beneficial for animals?
