What is a Doppelgänger?

The word literally translates to “double goer” and refers to an apparition of a person, even a person. In Germany in the old days, if you saw a person’s doppelgänger, it was considered a bad sign. That person might be nearing an illness or an accident. Seeing your own doppelgänger spelled death.

Evil Twins

Eventually, this evolved into the ‘evil twin’ or ‘mirror personality’ trope so popular in movies and popular culture. Evil twins or mirror personalities are basically the opposite of your ‘good’ self. Legend has it that communicating with your evil twin is a bad idea because they could plant evil ideas into your head. And it isn’t just legend or rumor or myth—Noah Brooks in Washington in Lincoln’s Time has retold how Abraham Lincoln once met his evil double.

Spiritual Doubles and Qareen

When we talk about spiritual doubles, bear in mind that we’re not talking about a separate entity. A double is not something created independent of you but is something that is part of you. In a way, you are split. Two religions take this concept further.

There’s the tulpa in Buddhism and the Qareen in Islam. For Buddhists, the tulpa has to be created from a living person, and it may or may not be controlled. It is created through meditation and other concentration-based practices.

In Islam, Qareen are pretty much the same: everyone is supposedly born with a spiritual double, who remains repressed until the human is involved in nefarious activities. Muslims also believe that people who practice black magic can control djinns and spiritual doubles to extract information and impose harm on others.

How True Can This Be?

It’s not entirely a fantastical idea. The concept of antimatter proves that an opposite and similar entity for everyone exists at the most fundamental level of life. By antimatter, we mean sub-atomic particles whose properties are the exact opposite of certain particles—they are the double to matter. This is also the concept that leads directly to the idea of multiple worlds and possibilities, where someone just like you might be living a slightly different life. Evidence for this is to be found in all scriptures that date back centuries, and seem to conflict increasingly with the enlightened world. Eventually, believers find themselves fearing God instead of loving Him, and thus undoing the very premise of faith. Why Our Outdated Perception of God is the Problem

At regular intervals, we come across passages that proclaim exemplary and painful punishments for various misgivings—for disobeying parents, for losing faith, for taking the Lord’s name in vain, for being suspected of sorcery, so on and so forth.

This is a God who revels in the barbaric—there are slaves and concubines and despotic commandments, all fed to us as something sacred. We take them at face value, and eventually our subconscious view of God becomes that of a twisted despot, who demands absolute subservience at all times.

In truth, though, God couldn’t be more different.

Fighting Misinformation

One has to bear in mind that these scriptures date back to violent centuries, when humanity was struggling to keep going in the face of evil opposition. The conflicting concepts and notions explored within are man-made and conferred to us via the pulpit that preaches stricter versions of religion.

The link that has been missing from our lives is that of divine connection. We begin dwelling so much on hearsay and third-party explanations that we forget to connect with the one entity that matters, the one being that can heal all our worries: the Divine Himself. We tend to forget that there’s great wisdom in what He does, and that this divine wisdom in its majestic missions is never in opposition to the happiness of mankind. God isn’t unforgiving. God isn’t unloving. And God isn’t unsympathetic.

If your mind has been poisoned similarly by notions of wrath and displeasure, condemnations and accursed afterlives, you need someone to channel divine wisdom and bring you the gift of enlightenment.

In houses that are infested by spirits, you’ll may have spots on the property that are colder than the rest of the house. If the temperatures inside your house are prone to fluctuation, you should investigate and take the matter up further.

Animals Behaving Strangely

If your dog begins barking at a vacant spot for no reason at all, or a cat seems transfixed, it might be more meaningful than you think. Your Intuition
