They see these energies as a very peculiar life force, and view it is something that plagues humanity and thus is useful to them in causing trouble for human beings. They understand there is a similarity with the spirits of their comrades who pass on and end up in the lower astral plane. They see that as a kind of energetic persistence that keeps the person trapped, and rather than attempt to solve the problem and rescue the spirits of the departed members of their race, they exploit those lost souls spirits as well, and influence them to command the fallen angelics to do their bidding. The extraterrestrial spirits do have greater energy and dominance, because they are still supported with life force energy by the divine realm.
