A practitioner asks: “I have heard recreational drugs and prostitution commented on in previous sessions. My question involves pornography and noncommittal sexual relations. Can these act as gateways for entities and harmful beings?”

Indulging in any means of sexual gratification is allowed, provided no one is harmed. Humans are more judgmental and punitive and prudish in their ideas about sexuality than we are. We created you to be sexual beings and to create a very powerful drive within you to express that sexual energy. We also know that given your lifespan and the need for maturation to have the best possible life, with stability and financial security, and so on, early marriage can be quite a detriment. Yet the sex drive starts quite early relative to the ability of humans to become fully independent and self-sustaining in today's world. Their sexual drive needs an outlet. We see the use of adjuncts like pornographic material and casual hookups as more a problem for the individual through habituating them to have their sexual pleasure depend on those particular outlets. And this might begin to alter inner beliefs to some extent and certainly will create habits of association concerning what is erotic, and this could complicate entering a marital life and suddenly having the need to focus entirely on another single individual and not the other props that have been used, perhaps for many years, as an outlet for sexual gratification. That is a self-penalty simply by indulging in repetitive conduct and its consequences, not a judgment about ethics and morality imposed by the divine realm. Only when sex acts that are demeaning to others or to the self are employed, is there a risk of penetration of dark spirits, because the energies involved will be more in alignment with their makeup. So it is a question of the focus of the material in whether it has a dark element of some kind, of subjugation, either as a dominant or submissive. The level of susceptibility will vary greatly. So we do not see this as a major liability, but it can be for some individuals, particularly if there is a devotion to such practices as the sole outlet for sexual activity. So, like using recreational drugs or alcohol, it is a risk factor. Prayers of protection can be utilized, but there are limits to what we can do to protect you from self-chosen behavior, so there are no guarantees when one is indulging in the so-called vices. Again, this is not divine judgment or punishment that might result, but simply encountering the hazards in your environment, and at present there are still many, many, dark spirit meddlers who will be drawn to people who emanate dark energies.
