This is partially correct. What it reflects is an awareness that the soul is vast in its makeup and, indeed, has all gender proclivities, characteristics, and potentials within it. But these will be expressed to varying degrees and in varying ways in different settings at different times, and as manifested by soul extensions that can take on independent roles, at least as an agent out and about interacting with the universe, like a human being or an extraterrestrial being. Those soul extensions will have a certain gender preference, and that will be a part of the record for its doings that are recorded and will govern what happens with that individual in its life and its interactions with others, and so on. It is subject to distortion and corruption in various ways to give rise to gender misassignment and disparities when the biologic makeup of a person, for example, is not matched by the inner orientation of gender preference.
That is a long complex discussion in its own right but it is always a function of what gender expression was intended for that soul extension, whereas the soul itself has within it such a broad array of capabilities and potentials it can give rise to anything with regard to things like gender. After all, the qualities inherent within those gender characteristics you see on display by human beings are actually shared by both genders to varying degrees, but often both are present. This is why males can be nurturers of the young if pressed into duty and females can be warriors if this is a choice they make and apply themselves, and so on. But even at the soul level, there are some that are more leaning towards the male potentials and some who are leaning more towards the female potentials—that is because every soul is unique. This may be only a small degree of differentiation and, in effect, at the level of a soul extension is a trivial irrelevancy so that is, for all practical purposes, a kind of gender unity. So it depends on what level of organization one is focused on—that of a soul extension, like a person, as opposed to their soul, in considering whether there should be a discernable gender at all, in terms of practical consequences and considerations.
