A practitioner proposes asking a client’s higher self at the end of a session: “Higher Self, what Divine assistance does my client have currently? Who are their spirit guides, their angels? Who else is on their spirit team? Which past, future, or parallel selves are available to assist them who can be of most benefit to their soul’s plan? Thank you. Show me now.” Will this be productive and helpful?

Your reaction at first blush, as you are seeing our response within your mind, was more draconian than necessary. After all, you need not be the gatekeeper nor does she need to be, the higher self will do so and if it sees wisdom in not giving names for the various beings then that will be the answer forthcoming and the client will have to settle for what they get, and the channeler as well. There is virtue in having this message conveyed, at least to the extent that the numbers and categories of spirit team members will be recounted. There will be a great reassurance they are not alone, and that is the most important thing here, not to give them a moniker or encourage them to play favorites. It is easy to insert an explanation in what is given to the client after the session about the wisdom of including the entire spirit team with any outreach and not only approach one level, so this, in and of itself, will add more than it detracts.
