Being an earthbound lost soul spirit sounds like a version of hell.

As you know, hell is not a real place, but the state of being in limbo is a purgatory-like existence for many trapped spirits. Not all meet this fate, but it is very, very, common as you have not yet encountered any spirits who do not, except those who find a safe haven within a person or an animal. That is no guarantee either, because they can be tormented similarly. The major difference is that it will be a higher priority for any spirit meddler attachments to the same host to focus on the chakras and not attack a human lost soul spirit directly. So the taunting and jeering will come, in effect, from a distance and this will reduce the severity somewhat. This is a small distinction and does not by any means take away the urgent need to rescue all such earthbound spirits.
