You can view it this way, but this is not divine intervention, this is simply a political strategy designed to keep the lid on things, so to speak, and help prop up the economy and the current public sentiment to be more positive than negative. Governments are hurting because of lost revenue. That simply cannot go on without there being major disruptions and lack of funds for necessary services, and so on. Governments can create money to extend their reach for a while, but that will have negative consequences down the line, so it is truly robbing Peter to pay Paul, so to speak, and in the end it must be paid for in one way or another. So it is politically expedient for this to be out of sight and therefore out of mind, because it will be influencing currency valuations through a dilution of value by printing more money that is not backed by anything tangible. So this is a blessing, but a mixed one.
