DWQA QuestionsCategory: Channeling PitfallsA student asks: “Trying to do channeling brings up anxiety and frustration because I am experiencing doubt in my ability to do it, but I really want to be able to. I’m not sure I am actually getting anything other than intuitive hits (as opposed to channeling a conversation, a thought stream). I am trying to do short sessions, and should I just keep this up, even if I don’t feel at all confident about what I’m getting? Is the practice what is important here?”

The practice is what is important. This is how you will begin training the levels of the mind to do what is needed to get into the groove, so to speak, and then let this happen without resistance. This will take practice in order to find that sweet spot where you are relaxed and intuitively open, but also requesting things to happen and being expectant. So, in a sense, you are standing down on one level, but stepping up on another and the tension between the two can keep things somewhat unstable and this is enough to prevent the messages from coming through. The more you practice, the more relaxed and open you will become, and as your concern about what to expect lessens, it will be easier for the translator to break through and support the communication. So we suggest you keep going and maintain a relaxed attitude about this. Short sessions are fine, particularly when nothing much is happening. It is best to just let it go and come back and try again another day.
