Does a St. Christopher medal tucked in a glove box actually impart divine protection to the vehicle? Will its efficacy vary depending on the priest who blessed it? What if the priest blessed many at the same time?

Because the purpose of the St. Christopher medal is widely perceived as conferring safety and protection, placing it within the vehicle constitutes a symbolic act representing a direct request to the Almighty to keep the vehicle and its occupants safe going forward, otherwise the act has no meaning. This will be acted on by the divine and can be an all-important factor on occasion. While the priest who blesses the St. Christopher medal is adding human intention through his belief quotient to the medal itself, that individual priest constitutes a variable in what may happen. No two priests are identical in their makeup as human beings and the belief quotients will vary but, as we have discussed with holy water, the belief quotient of the person who uses the medal to benefit themselves will be adding their own belief to the process and their belief quotient will be in the mix and the Almighty will know they are wanting this assistance and will act accordingly, depending on their belief quotient and the desire for divine grace. Belief in the self as well, as with prayer, is always an additional factor and potential constraint. This is the virtue in having an object blessed by a priest in addition to the self, it adds additional spiritual power on the human side of the equation and this is no different than having two people pray for someone in a crisis rather than one person only—more is better in this case. Even if there is a vast difference in the belief quotients, they will add together so more is in play and more will be accomplished because the divine will follow the human intention always in what happens. If many medals are blessed at one time, this can divide the amount of spiritual capital invested in each one. This is somewhat analogous to requesting healing for more than one person simultaneously. Each individual human being has a certain spiritual reach and that will stretch to cover many situations, even ones of great difficulty and complexity, but the more people are included in a single prayerful outreach, the more their spiritual reach will be spread out, and if it becomes too thin to do the task at hand for the targets to be included, may become ineffective altogether. So the same principle applies here, that it is better to bless a small number at a time and put the same heartfelt intention into each act of blessing to keep up the energy bestowed, because it will be recorded and referred to by Creator in acting on behalf of the person using the medal.
