This is another powerful insight and explains much about the workings of OCD, why it has such perverse power over a person such that they are unable to shake the impulse to have the repeated behavior and thoughts that can become an impediment to adequate functioning, taken to extremes, and why the illogical nature, although perceived by the higher conscious self, somehow is not sufficient in holding that awareness, to countermand the impulses that keep coming. That very much fits the characteristic of cellular memory because what is in cellular memory is assumed to be reality and it is very much an attempt to stay within the lines that are established and why an individual cannot usually override its workings. They are simply too powerful and too central to the hierarchy of the workings of the mind, so they cannot be simply shoved aside and ignored readily. What is in cellular memory is always considered foundational and when it rises to awareness it is to do something important and this gives it automatic priority within the thoughts, and that is why it is exhibited as a compulsion.
