This is a technology that can be very, very effective in treating cancer and it does so by creating a period of stasis of function. This interferes with the ongoing intracellular toxic mechanisms creating the oxidative self-destruction, when things run out of control in the creation of free radicals that cause cellular damage. This allows repair mechanisms to kick in and become dominant, so it is very much a restoration of normal function rather than something like apoptosis to remove the abnormal cells altogether via self‑destruction, or targeting by the immune system to eliminate them.
