It is both a time and a human power limitation issue. Things are proceeding well. There has been tremendous progress. The number of lost souls is diminishing. It is not at zero and, of course, as your question reflects, there are many departing daily who may stumble. The incremental reach of the individual means that the size of the problem is formidable and, therefore, requires a formidable aggregate of human effort being brought to bear in alignment and acting in a purposeful way in concert so the shared power can carry the day. While great strides are being made, there is still more growth needed to fully curtail the problem, and until that is the case, all must be aware and on guard to help their loved ones in the event of a sudden passing. Things will improve steadily with growing numbers of practitioners applying themselves to the betterment of all. That is the plan and it is coming to fruition.
The wise course would be to not take this for granted because more growth is needed. It does not serve to begin discouraging newcomers by assuming you are nearly there in reaching your goal. There is no incentive then to overcome the learning curve burden and any changes to become an active worker. No one will choose that if they feel it has become a nonproblem. There will always be an ongoing need with the attrition of the population, that will not change, so there will be a place for practitioners on a permanent basis.
