As often happens in actions by government officials, there is an ulterior motive underlying why something comes up on their radar. And their choice to pursue it, particularly in public hearings, is to carry out an agenda on behalf of someone else, most typically the deep state, if not a lobbyist on behalf of a special interest group to whom the politician is beholden for financial support or vote-getting. In this case, the Extraterrestrial Alliance needed a cover story to suppress speculation about the unusual nature of SARS-CoV-2 having no link to nature. That is not unprecedented but it is always desirable to create the plausible explanation that something has made a jump from a lower species to become infectious in humans, as in going from pigs to humans or from waterfowl to humans, as the case might be. This helps to keep humanity complacent, thinking that all these viruses are a natural consequence of nature doing what it does, with evolution of viruses being more robust and rapid due to their ability to regenerate with such rapidity that spontaneous changes can mount over time and the virus becomes deadly, and, in jumping from other species to human, can start an entirely new disease going of public health concern.
As the SARS-CoV-2 virus was created in an extraterrestrial laboratory, like others in history, they like to have a cover story. In this case, they can get a two-for-one benefit in creating the impression of a link between U.S. government financial grants to the research center of a foreign adversary, the Wuhan Institute of Virology. It is promoted through mind control to start conspiracies, at least at the theoretical level, and have these spread via the Internet to sow confusion and doubt, and perhaps gin up geopolitical tensions which can support warmongering. So that is what was done and the motive behind it. In addition, the commentators at Fox News, following in Rand Paul's footsteps, took the ball and ran with it, because they were not only programmed to pay attention to the hearing but to adopt the narrative there was something sinister in the U.S. supporting gain of function research in a Chinese lab, and that it quite plausibly resulted in production of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its escape through infection of a worker at the lab causing it to spread into the population at large. Granted, the news commentators are not scientists but they do have scientific experts they can consult with. Failure to do so can be programmed to happen, as well as the programming of consultants to misunderstand and then misstate an interpretation to support the alien agenda in the end.
There are many ways false theories get going and continue to be supported. All of what happens in human culture is a pyramid of lies and warring factions that counter one another in a back-and-forth melee of opposite views, often based on false assumptions on both sides of an argument. This is classic distraction, disinformation, and propaganda at work to divide and conquer. In this case, the right-wing added politically to the disinformation done by the left to be overprotective, overconcerned, and draconian in the authoritarian government oversight, through public health measures that resulted in costly widespread closures of institutions, like the public schools as well as many businesses, a large number of which went under because they could not survive an extended period with lack of revenue and had to declare bankruptcy. In this case, the Extraterrestrial Alliance was simply covering its tracks with a cover story of convenience, which also contributed to political conflict as a win-win for them.
