These considerations are simply the starting point for civilized existence in recognizing that you are in this together. You cannot do anything you want because you have to reckon with others, and that is when differing perspectives, expectations, and desires must be dealt with to create a harmonious culture where people can get along, make a living, and propagate the species. But this is only the merest description of what is required for a meaningful existence. What matters is not their existence, as working tools, but how they are defined, and that will require a much deeper and more eloquent exploration of ethics and morality to establish what is fair. After all, what good is order, having a rule-based society, if there is not fairness and an appropriate appreciation of defining things in a way that can help everyone without playing favorites?
